Creation Station Open House

Tuesday, July 7th | 11-2pm | All ages (but kids need an adult for assistance)

Try out the xTool, make a greeting card on the Cricut, and learn to sublimate print a custom tote bag! All supplies provided.

Seniors Only: Plant Bingo

Thursday, July 9th | 2-3:30pm

Seniors are invited to the library for an afternoon of Plant Bingo! Enjoy 10 rounds of bingo for the chance to win a free plant while spending time with friends and fellow plant lovers. We’ll also have tasty snacks, refreshing beverages and bite-sized desserts to enjoy during the games. Come relax, have fun, and maybe take home a new leafy friend!

Seniors Only: No Sew Blankets

Thursday, July 23rd | 2-3:30pm

Seniors are invited to join us at the library for a cozy and creative Summer activity! Participants will create a soft no-sew fleece blanket using their choice of fun and colorful fleece designs. No sewing experience is needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of crafting, conversation, and community fun!

Finding Gold in Colorado

Thursday, July 16th | 6-8pm | Ages 12+

Strike it rich at the library! Join Kevin Singel, local Colorado author of Finding Gold in Colorado, for a lively look at Colorado’s gold panning history. After the talk, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on gold panning demo with gold-rich soil and discover gold just like the 1859 Gold Rush prospectors✨

This program is suitable for teens & adults.

Paleo Artistry

Friday July 10th | 12-4:45pm | Ages 12+

Love dinosaurs? Love art? Come meet, learn, and draw with Paleo Artist M. BrookeS! She is an award winning illustrator and instructor at Colorado Mesa University and will be at LCPL on the afternoon of Friday, July 10th to give a presentation on paleo art followed by a paleo art drawing class! 
Presentation: Noon - approximately 2pm
Drawing Class: 2:15 - 4:45pm
All ages are welcome, though the program is likely best suited for tweens, teens, and adults.
All supplies will be provided.
Snacks provided!

 

Banned Books Week Author Talk 

Thursday, Ocober 8th | Doors open at 5:30pm | Freight

Join us for our annual Banned Books Week Author Talk with guest author Gabby Rivera! Doors open at 5:30pm with a free community dinner followed by the talk, Q&A, and book signing starting at 6:30pm. For more information, click HERE

Colorado Workforce Center 

Second Wednesday of the month | Baby Doe Room | 12:30-3:30

Stop by the library on the second Wednesday of every month from 12:30-3:30 to meet with a representative of the Colorado Workforce Center. For employees and employers. Get help and resources for all things related to jobs and careers!

Game Night for Adults 

Usually the Second Thursday of every month. From 6:30-8:30pm but will be the Third Thursday of the month (10/16) in October only! (Come to our Banned Books Week Author Talk on 10/9!)

Are you an adult who likes playing games? Whether you're new to board games or a pro, come to the library and have fun with us! Every month we will feature a different game. Popcorn, hot chocolate, and tea will be provided; feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Leave your kids at home & bring your competitive spirit!

Tarot Club 

January 15th this month! | 6:30 - 8:30pm | Ages 18+ (or teens with parent/guardian)

Join the Tarot Tarts to enjoy a space of community while learning more about tarot. Bring your deck or use one of ours! No registration required.

 

Bookclub 

First Wednesday of the Month| 7-8pm | at Treeline

Every month we read one book, and meet the 1st Wednesday to discuss our readings. Discussion meetings held in the Library, or around town.
Once you register, Finn from the library will reach out with details regarding the month's and readers may come to the library to get their book for the upcoming month.
*At least 8 copies of the book on hand--first come, first serve.*

 

One on One Tech Help 

Make an appointment for one on one tech help with us! This is for help with tasks and functions, NOT repairs. Contact the front desk to make your appointment. Appointments available Tues/Weds/Thursdays.

Got legal questions? We can help! Join us for our Free Legal Clinic at the library — every 2nd Monday of the month, 4–6pm.
